The multi-talented Hywel Davies has been a regular name on the pages of Tri247 for many years now.

With race wins covering Triathlon (Sprint though to Double-Iron, and everything in between), Duathlon, Aquathlon, Running, Cycling and Cross-Training just a few of his achievements, Hywel was looking to add to his extensive CV at the Triathlon Show on 4th March 2012.

Having set a Lightweight 100km World Record for the Concept2 ( Indoor Rower in 2010, Hywel set himself an off-season challenge to improve on the 6 hours, 37 minutes, 56.9 seconds he had previously set. And he did, with an improvement to 6 hours, 33 minutes, 10.2 seconds.

The Tri247 video camera was there to capture some of the action, and record an interview with the current ETU Long Distance Age Group Champion.

(You can read Hywel's own report on his record breaking row HERE).
