New dad Stephen Bayliss told us this week in his latest blog piece of his entry into today's inaugural Challenge Vichy, just a week after eighth place at Challenge Copenhagen.

"I haven't ever done two ironmans one week apart so it will be interesting to see how it goes. I feel pretty recovered from the race in Copenhagen, I feel like I only really ran 21km as the first 21km was so slow, so I think I can still do a good job."

Well, not a bad first effort from the consistent Brit in such back-to-back racing: he won! In doing so, that is the third iron-distance career victory for Stephen following his two 2008 wins at Ironman South Africa and Ironman UK.

TeamTBB's Amy Marsh added another iron-distance win to her CV (and indeed the bulging palmerès of the Brett Sutton coached squad) in a race run in mid 30s°C.
