"Today I achieved more than I ever thought was possible. I'm so happy, overjoyed and proud to have raced here at Roth and to have broken my own World Record, on this the 10th Anniversary makes it even more special."

Played 12, won 12, unbeaten and, perhaps, unbeatable. She may be known as Muppet, but Chrissie Wellington is the undisputed Queen of iron-distance racing making it a perfect dozen of victories today at Challenge Roth.

Three straight Roth wins, 12 straight iron-distance wins, a new world best, the fastest female iron-distance marathon ever and now owns the five fastest finish times in history alongside the Kona course record. Take note world, Chrissie wants her title back this October and if you think you were closing the gap, think again.

She has, again, raised the bar - which by now must be starting to get vertigo - to 8:18:13 (provisonally), shaving one minute off her 2010 figures. Check out that marathon time which she produced to do it - men's winner Andreas Raelert did 2:40:51 by way of comparison. Stunning.
