The TCR Show 2011 (www.tcrshow.com) will be taking place one again at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th February 2011.

In the run up to the event, Tri247 will be highlighting many of the exhibitors at the show giving you a preview of what will be on display. For more information on the show, check out our dedicated TCR section HERE.

Here we profile Quintana Roo .

In 1981 founder Dan Empfield competed in the first Ironman on Hawaii's Big Island. As a pioneer of the sport, he envisioned a bright future for it, but felt something was lacking: High-quality equipment that accommodated the needs of triathletes.

He decided to provide the solution to this dilemma by starting a company named after one of his favorite places on the planet, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Under Quintana Roo, Dan went on to invent both the triathlon-specific bicycle and wetsuit.

The same tri-dedicated R&D that resulted in the innovative fit and features that made triathletes go faster are ever-present again today. Swing by the stand to see the flagship CD0.1 with QR's pioneering 'Shift Technology' - diverting the majority of airflow to the aerodynamically 'cleaner', non-driveside. There'll also be an exclusive UK appearance of Quintana Roo's 'Project Illicito' – the tri bike of tomorrow.
