GB Age-Group medals: ITU Standard Distance

The final day of competition at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Chicago featured the Age Group Standard Distance World Championship, the penultimate event ahead of the Elite Men’s Grand Final, which starts at 11pm UK time.

Here is the full listing of Great Britain Age-Group medals won today.

Of the (provisional) four British medal winners today, two have doubled up, having also achieved podium finishers in the Sprint distance World Championships on Thursday. The sole Gold medal today was from our oldest female competitor in Chicago, Daphne Belt, who added to her Bronze medal on Thursday. Taking Silver today in the Standard distance today, Edward Castro finished one step higher on the podium than his result in the Sprint.

Bronze medals from Neil Eddy (M25-29) and Samantha Rose completed the British medals today.

1.5km swim / 40km bike / 10km run

GOLD (1)

Daphne Belt – F75-79

SILVER (1)

Edward Castro – F25-29

BRONZE (2)

Neil Eddy – F25-29
Samantha Rose – F25-29
