Great results for the Brits at Challenge Bahrain with Rachel Joyce in second, Jodie Swallow in third and Tim Don fourth. The official report is HERE.

Pos Male Female
1 Michael Raelert (GER) 3:36:04 Helle Frederiksen (DEN) 3:55:50
2 Andreas Dreitz (GER) 3:38:23 Rachel Joyce GBR) 3:58:15
3 Tim Reed (AUS) 3:39:26 Jodie Swallow (GBR) 3:58:39
4 Tim Don (GBR) 3:41:06 Annabel Luxford (AUS) 4:00:17
5 Eneko Llanos (ESP) 3:42:04 Angela Naeth (CAN) 4:00:48

At Ironman Western Australia victory went to Denis Chabrot (FRA) in 8:05:58 with Britta Martin (NZL) joining the sub-9 club in 8:56:34. Liz Blatchford (down as AUS but we're still claiming her...) was third and GB flagged NSW resident Owain Matthews was 9th overall which gave him the 30-34 category title. Blatchford's third could have been at least a place better and possibly two as she gave up eight minutes to two drafting calls. For an event which is tucked into the corner of Australia and is normally dominated by domestic athletes it's a bit of a shock to see so many international pro athletes on the score card. Indeed, for the men, the entire top ten is an Antipodean-free zone apart from Guy Crawford (NZL) in sixth!

Pos Male Female
1 Denis Chevrot (FRA) 8:05:58 Britta Martin (NZL) 8:56:34
2 Patrik Lilsson (SWE) 8:12:11 Maureen Hufe (GER) 9:00:21
3 Per Bittner (GER) 8:14:37 Liz Blatchford (GBR) 9:02:11

The domestic results are still trickilng in although there's a link to the BCT Splash & Dash on the StuWeb site HERE. Winners of the adult event were Chris Silver and Tabitha Rogers, both on the University of Birmingham Triathlon Team.
