Professional Ironman triathlete Joel Jameson is ready to offer would-be triathletes top training tips. Joel will be hosting two day-long swim, bike and run sessions for athletes keen to participate in long distance triathlons.

On each day, the Loughborough-based GB triathlete will coach 12 athletes of all abilities at Active Training World's long distance training days at Bushey, Hertfordshire.

Joel has established himself as a pro ironman and amongst his career highlights has finished second at Challenge Henley, fourth at Ironman Lanzarote 2014 and has had wins at Outlaw and Vitruvian. Joel is racing this weekend at Challenge Weymouth.

Joel, who is also a level one triathlon coach, said: "I'm really looking forward to passing on swim, bike and run training tips to participants at the Active Training World long distance tri day. When I first took part in an Ironman event I was very keen to do as well as I possibly could and I managed to finish fifth in my age group. I know what challenges new triathletes to this sport face in each of the disciplines so I'm hoping I will be able to encourage beginners, as well as pass on valuable advice to more experienced triathletes."

James Shipley, founder of Active Training World, and a keen triathlete for nearly 20 years, said: "I noticed an increase in demand for training tips on how to tackle triathlons, so I decided to put on training days for beginners through to experienced triathletes. It's going to be very exciting to work with Joel Jameson on this long distance session."

The event is being held at St Margaret's School in Bushey on Saturday September 20th (SOLD OUT) and Sunday 21st September from 9am until 5pm. Entry costs £75 and includes exclusive pool use for a sample long distance swim session, functional threshold power testing, a run technique session plus lunch and a Q&A.

Tri247 readers can receive a £15 discount from the day by entering code TRI247 on the application form.
