Javier Gomez clearly made the right choices in his racing schedule as he's now the Ironman 70.3 World Champion having finished nicely clear of the field at Mont Tremblant today. Jan Frodeno and Tim Don rounded out the podium: a trio of Olympians with a new home for their racing.

In the women's field the title went to Daniela Ryf with Jodie Swallow in second and Heather Wurtele third.

Other GB athletes in the elite field were Will Clarke in 10th, Susie Hignett in 12th, Cat Morrison in 14th and Emma-Kate Lidbury in 17th.
