The second ITU World Cup event of the season this past weekend saw another quality field line up in New Plymouth, New Zealand, as athletes one again raced over the sprint distance as the top triathletes in the world fine tune their form ahead of the first World Triathlon Series event of the season in two weeks time.

Spain's Mario Mola repeated his victory from Mooloolaba, this time taking the scalp of the great Javier Gomez, while the USA's Katie Hursey reaffirmed herself as a name to watch this year, adding a victory in New Zealand to her second place in Australia.

From a British perspective, Jodie Stimpson started her year off with another podium in third, while perhaps the best news of the day was an impressive fourth place from the returning from injury Helen Jenkins in her first race since the 2012 Olympic Games.

Check out the highlights courtesy of these ITU video packages.
