"When the three of us are fit, we put on a good show" - that must be a contender for understatement of the season from Spain's Javier Gomez, after Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee along with the Spanish legend raced together for the first time since the Olympic Games.

The ITU World Triathlon Series Hamburg produced a truly fantatstic race, the three fastest male triathletes in history demonstrating once again their class and power, forcing a breakaway on the bike when there didn't appear to be any split in the swim. They then ran simply ran away from that group on nine, pushing the pace all through the run until it became a blue carpet sprint between the Brownlee brothers, with Jonathan just edging Alistair for the win.

A fantastic race and a brilliant advert for the sport. If you missed the live coverage, check out these highlights.
