GB Age Group World medals: Auckland

The Age Group Triathlon World Championships took place early this morning (Monday 22nd) as part of the Barfoot&Thompson World Triathlon Grand Final in Auckland, New Zealand.

As always at these events, there was a very large Great Britain team competing over both the Standard and Sprint distances - with plenty of medals won. The full (provisional) list of GB Age Group medal winners is below.

Mike Trees made it an Aquathlon / Triathlon World Champs double, winning the M50-54 Sprint Distance event, while our other Age Group Aquathlon World Champion, Caroline Whittaker, added a Silver medal to her swim-run Gold in the F50-54 Standard Distance.

Provisional totals:

STANDARD: Two Gold, Two Silver, Four Bronze
SPRINT: Four Gold, Four Silver, Five Bronze
TOTAL: Six Gold, Six Silver, Nine Bronze (21)
