The USA's Kelly Williamson has shown in recent weeks that she is a serious force in triathlon, notably for her fantastic running ability. At today's Memorial Hermann Ironman 70.3 Texas it was business as usual to take another well deserved victory.

New Zealand's Anna Cleaver was first to dry land in 25:20, but close behind were Nina Kraft (GER), Amy Marsh (USA) and Williamson among the 'names'expecting to be contending for overall honours just over three and half hours later.

Not too far behind - and a relatively new name to us - was Anja Branek (GER) who after a battle on the bike was able to reach T2 just in front of Amy Marsh, with former iron-distance world record holder just one minute back. Van Vlerken is a great runner...but only had 45 seconds margin over this years running sensation Williamson.

Williamson looked brilliant on the run course, in total control and a 1:18:04 half marathon reflects that! Van Vlerken ran well (1:23:49) for a solid second place with Amy Marsh holding on for third.

5th Margaret Shapiro (USA) 4:25:27
