Last year we followed British 400m record holder Iwan Thomas on the lead up to, and then at his first triathlon at the 2010 Blenheim Triathlon. Unfortunately for Iwan, he managed to break his seat post on the first lap of the bike last year!

Iwan was back on Saturday at the 2011 GE Blenheim Triathlon and this time he completed the race without incident, and we were there to capture his race on video. Once again he loved the race, but admitted that next year he really should train for it...

Iwan completed the Sprint distance (750m swim / 19.8km bike / 5.4km run) in 1:30:00, with splits of 16:27 / 4:07 / 39:52 / 1:50 / 27:56.

You can also see our video interview with Blenheim winners Tim Don and Gillian Sanders HERE.
