With the British Elite Duathlon Championships taking place this weekend at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough, we thought it would be a good time to bring you an update on one of the likely contenders for the title.

At the TCR Show (www.tcrshow.com) this year we spoke to double World Junior Duathlon Champion Sophie Coleman about her 2009 season, and her plans for 2010 as she moves out of the junior ranks. Now racing as a senior, Sophie has her targets set for this year as medals at Under-23 level. As one of the fastest multisport runners around, the shorter 5k / 20k / 2.5k format of the 2010 Elite Championships could well play to the strengths of Sophie this weekend in Loughborough.
