UK's largest off road triathlon is best ever.

Over 820 athletes entered the greatest cross country festival of it's type, to compete in one of six events including; triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and run.

First places, in the headline event XTT went to (M) Tim McDowell 02:03:31 and (F) Charlotte Maurissen 02:32:06.

Age grouper Janet Singleton's comments reflected the mood of the day saying "Now that's a a fantastic event. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly marshalls, precision race organising and superb race course. I can't wait for next year!"

The 25 strong team from www.allabouttriathlons.co.uk organised the event based at Gibraltar barracks for the 5th year which has grown over 20% from 2008.

"Each wave start is growing every year and with new events planned for 2010 we hope to put this event on the European map. Xterra European champions Sam Gardner, Tim McDowell and Cedric Lassonde are already choosing the XTT as a great race to compete in." comments Toby Jenkins Race Director.
