Last year she won the junior race at the London Triathlon by a country mile. She then went on to win, in impressive style, the World Junior Duathlon Championships in Rimini. Her swim made need a little bit of work, but that seems to be going well after a tough winter's training and the 2009 season has already kicked off to a great start. In January, at the Youth Olympic Festival in Australia, Sophie posted the fastest run split of the day and in doing so won Great Britain a silver medal. Sophie's website is one of the most impressive athletes sites we've seen; it's exceptionally well presented, up-to-date and informative. You can also find out more, and see some examples of her artwork, as Sophie is combining triathlon with a part-time art foundation course at a college in Eastbourne.
