The Cliveden Cross Country race took place this morning in cold, but otherwise perfect conditions at Cliveden House in Berkshire. The event, which was recently featured in our Garmin Route of the Month, is always a popular race, selling out well over a month in advance despite a start list approaching 500. It's also very popular with the triathlon crowd, and Hillingdon Triathletes, Eton Tri Club and Evolution Tri Club were well represented with, we're sure, plenty of others running under their athletics club colours.

James Buis (Heaton Harriers) took a clear win, leading the field home up the 172 steps of Yew Tree walk (twice...) for a full minute lead, while Sarah Gee (Reading Road Runners) was even more dominant, finishing 17th overall, and over two and half minutes clear of 2007 winner Stephanie James (Maidenhead AC). Full results are available HERE.
