With an ever increasing number of women taking part in triathlon we thought it was time to give our women's section a whole new look. It's not that we're looking to separate the women from the men - after all women and men have been racing triathlons together for years - we've just decided that there's a whole host of areas that are specifically women focused and it was time to give them a little more attention.

The first change you will notice on the women's section is the additional sub-sections at the top of the page. We've put these in to make it easier for you to find what your looking for. The sub-sections have been divided up into the following categories:

Training: This section will focus on different articles relating to triathlon training specifically related to women, and will include features from both elite and age-group female athletes. It will also include details, news and reviews about the increasing number of women only training camps.

In this section we will also have an exciting new regular Q&A, where readers can write in with any related questions to training, health, racing etc. Current World XTERRA Champion Julie Dibens and the current World Long Distance Duathlon Champion Catriona Morrison will be our in-house problem solvers. Each month we'll pick the most relevant questions relating to women's triathlon and Cat and Julie will answer them using their wealth of experience and knowledge collected from many years participating in multi-sport events.

Events: On this section we will have regular features and race reports from women, and women-only events, covering everything from novices to elite.

People: Interviews, profiles and features from female personalities in triathlon, which may be the latest World Champion, or someone with an inspiring or interesting story, regardless of age or ability.

Health: This section will include topics, from nutrition to general well-being for women taking part in triathlon.

Products: This section will have all the latest news on products; it will also feature regular reviews on ladies specific products including the latest swimwear from Shock Absorber, the UK’s leading sports bra brand.
