Swedish Hash (put-in-the-pan)

Serves four.

  • 600gm Swedish Hash (8-10 medium sized potatoes, 1 onion, approx 150gm cooked beef, finely diced)
  • 90gm sliced pickled beetroot
  • 4 salted gherkins
  • 20gm butter
  • Grated horseradish

Fry the hash in a frying pan or in the oven with some butter. Divide onto four plates. Slice the gherkins lengthwise and put on plates, add the sliced beetroot. Sprinkle some grated horseradish on top.
