Triple Gold for the USA's Kristin Armstrong in Olympic Time Trial

Great Britain's Emma Pooley's return to cycling ended with a 14th place finish today in the Olympic Games Time Trial, finishing just over two minutes down on the USA's Kristin Armstrong.

For Armstrong, now 43, it was a truly historic result, her third consecutive Olympic Gold medal in the discipline.

3rd - Anna van der Breggen (NED) - 44:37.80
4th - Ellen van Dijk (NED) - 44:48.74
5th - Eliso Longo Borghini (ITA) - 44:51.94

14th - Emma Pooley (GBR) - 46:31.48
