Are you racing IRONMAN Austria? Here is our course guide for your best race

In the lead up to IRONMAN Austria on Sunday 26th June, Simon Ward has been updating us on his alternative preparations for the race this year. Needing a finish to validate his confirmed Kona Legacy Program start in 2017, this is definitely a 'complete rather than compete' effort this year, thanks to an early season bike crash left him with a whole host of broken bones and a long recovery process.

Check out Simon's updates on these links:

The IRONMAN Austria event is a huge favourite of the Tri247 Editorial team and it's also a course that Simon has raced on several times previously - as well as attracting hundreds of British athletes every year. Given that, I asked Simon to pull together a video guide to the course to help you have you best race at perhaps the most stunning venue on the IRONMAN European Tour.

Check it out below and have a great day.
