Podium success for British Age-Groupers at IRONMAN Lanzarote 2016

As well as success from David McNamee and Lucy Charles at Saturday’s 25th anniversary IRONMAN Lanzarote, the event always attracts a large entry from British Age-Group athletes – and with some success too.

The fastest overall female AG athlete was Rachel Hallam (10:48:22), who won the F30-34 category with the eighth fastest female time of the day, including the professionals.

The fastest male British AG athlete was Alex Higham (9:30:40). Alex set the 18th fastest overall time, was the fourth fastest AG athlete overall and that earned him second place in M35-39.
