The increasing availability - combined with the falling prices - of cycle powermeters has made them an increasingly common sight on bikes of athletes of all levels. They are no longer simply the preserve of the professional peloton. So, should you train with power output? Can you get significant value and feedback from using a heart rate monitor... or perhaps utilise both?
