The annual Triathlón De Elche Middle Distance event near Alicante in Spain has been a popular early season event with several British Pro's in recent years.

In 2013, Holly Lawrence (who had such a breakthrough performance recently at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside) took victory in Spain, and was also joined by Fraser Cartmell, Joe Skipper and Amy Forshaw in top ten positions.

Fraser was back again last year, when he took third place - and to keep that streak going, was racing again this past Saturday. Seventh place this time around was his result, "a third enjoyable year of racing here".

The event was won for the third consecutive year by Italian Domenica Passuello. He is really a man in form right now. He won Challenge Philippines in February, Ironman 70.3 Putrajaya (Malaysia) two weeks ago, and Ironman Taiwan last weekend... time for a rest now?!
