Just a quick update from Ironman South Africa where the GB women once again proved a force to be reckoned with. Jodie Swallow took a clean win but Lucy Gossage and Susie Cheetham motored up through the field and filled out the podium for an all-GB result.

Frederik van Lierde won the race overall and David McNamee was best placed GB male in seventh. Fraser Cartmell was 19th and we can see one GB age group winner so far in Roger Canham (M50-54)

Pos Men Women
1 Frederik van Lierde (BEL) 8:16:35 Jodie Swallow (GBR) 9:26:56
2 Ivan Rana (ESP) 8:30:45 Lucy Gossage (GBR) 9:31:20
