It's been a weekend of podium success for British athletes around the globe. In New Zealand, Laura Siddall took second place at Challenge Wanaka over the iron distance, while Emma Pooley and Parys Edwards took first and third respectively at Challenge Philippines over the half distance.

Over in the U.S, Lee Piercy took top honours by winning the Powerman Arizona Duathlon at McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Fountain Hills. Piercy has had much success in the Age Group ranks over many years, and has won the ITU Duathlon World Champs in both 2013 (Ottawa) and 2014 (Pontevedra), plus many other World and European Championship successes.

Second in off the first run to Simon Holzapfel (USA), Piercy made light of a 1:40 deficit by powering around the bike course more than four minutes quicker than anyone else. He then stamped his authority on the race even further by adding the fastest split on the second run too.
