Wednesday's Auld Lang Syne Fell Race at Penistone Hill Country Park, nr Haworth, Keighley may have had a route change due to ice and snow, but it still resulted in a very familiar name crossing the line to take another win.

Both absent in 2013, the Brownlee brothers returned to the second of their regular local events on Wedneday (having already taken a one-two at the Chevin Chase on Boxing Day), and once again it was victory (for the fourth time in this event), for Olympic Triathlon Champion Alistair. However, no one-two this time as it was another Great Britain triathlete, Mark Buckingham, who separated the pair to take second.

There were plenty of other familiar triathlon names towards the top of the results sheet too with Gordon Benson fifth, Richard Varga eighth among them. Gordon said post race "today was the first time I stood on a start line having no idea where to go or how far I was running, but loved Aulg Lang Syne Fell Race."
