![]() Revisited: Half Ironman UK 2002 Posted on: Wednesday 22nd October 2014 Bookmark This | Print This Page | Send To A Friend | Post A Comment If you have watched UK triathlon coverage on the television, then you have almost certainly seen the work of Dream Team Television (www.dreamteamtelevision.co.uk). Dream Team are celebrating their 20th year of operation in 2014, and with a long history of contribution to and support of triathlon in the UK, we'd like to wish them a happy anniversary. They have also dug out from their archives for us this coverage from Half Ironman UK 2002, which was the second edition of the race which took place in Llanberis, North Wales, and was won by Richard Jones and Annie Emmerson. Annie 'chicked' all but one of the men on the run that year with the second fastest half marathon of the day. You can see the full results from the race in our archive HERE. For those thinking, "why wasn't it called 70.3?" - well, that brand didn't even exist until three years later... when ironically, the first event run under the 70.3 banner was in the UK in 2005, held at Longleat. Great coverage from the race here, with extensive coverage including Luc Van Lierde, Richard Stannard, Richard Allen, Nina Kraft, Stephen Sheldrake and many more.
