After winning Ironman 70.3 UK, Wimbleball last month, 2008 Beijing Olympian Will Clarke has been enjoying some time at home in Loughborough, with a little mid-season break before building back up for his big target in the second half of the season - the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Mont Tremblant, Canada.

More used to travelling around the world to race, Will was able to take an easy car journey on Saturday morning along with his family to take part in the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon at Luton Hoo Hotel. Despite being a little short on fitness, Will matched our pre-race confidence in him to take a win (and the £1000 first prize), despite a tough battle with regular training partner David Bishop on the run. (Full report from the day HERE).

The free post-race barbecue is on of the features of the day for this event, and whil we were queuing up for our own post-event feed (!), we grabbed a few words with Will to find out more about his race, the reaminder of his 2014 season plans, how things were going with the Uplace-BMC team and more.

We have just published an extensive photo gallery of race images from the event on the Tri247 Facebook page. Take a look, see if you are there and if you are, do tag yourself and comment!
