Saturday's BH Triatlon Zarautz in the Basque Country, Spain, proved to be a happy hunting ground once again for Scottish athletes.

Catriona Morrison is a regular at this race for many years - the title event sponsor now is actually her cycle sponsor - having won the event in 2010, 2011 and 2013. To that she can now add her fourth title.

It was almost a Scottish double (and an early birthday present!) for Fraser Cartmell, who was just five seconds short of taking the win, losing out to Uxio Abuin Ares, an athlete who ironically won the World Junior Duathlon Championship on Scottish soil back in 2010... when Cat took the Elite ladies victory!

Fraser said of the race, "A truly fantastic event which I'm really pleased to have experienced. - Simply amazing crowd support and atmosphere!"

Cartmell has raced well in Spain this year, having finished third at the Triathlón De Elche in April and second three weeks ago at the Bilbao Triathlon. Happy 32nd birthday for today Fraser!
