Continuing our countdown to the 2014 PruHealth World Triathlon London this weekend, having looked back at the 2009 Hyde Park event, this time around we revisit the 2010 Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Series event.

Hyde Park 2010 was a real breakthrough race for Jonathan Brownlee, as he earned his first medal on the World Series - and until Yokohama two weeks ago, he had never left that podium! It was also the start of a golden period for Canada's Paula Findlay as she took the win ahead of 2009 winner Nicola Spirig and another bronze medal for Helen Jenkins.

However, perhaps the biggest memory from the event - and certainly one ingrained on my mind, as I was doing the on-site commentary in Hyde Park at the time - was the 'meltdown' of Alistair Brownlee in sight of the finish line, his first ever defeat in the World Championship Series. Watch those races (and check out the images from it), below. We've also added links to the full race reports from the Elite races and the Paratriathlon.
