Continuing with our theme of recent weeks, alongside the multisport action (covered HERE), there again plenty of triathletes out running this past weekend. Here are just a few that we noticed.

Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon

While the men's race was won in a swift 1:06:34 by Aaron Scott (Notts AC / Saucony), in sixth place with a 1:13:02 chip time was Age Group athlete Tom Vickery. Tom was recently announced as a members of the ERDINGER Alkoholfrei Age Group team, and we believe will be racing Ironman South Africa next month.

In the ladies race, position four, five and six were all taken by regular multisport athletes with Outlaw 2013 winner Vicky Gill (1:22:45), Triathlon England Sprint Distance Champion Jenny Latham (1:23:04) and Ironman Wales / Ironman UK winner Lucy Gossage (1:23:29). We understand that Gill has now earned an Elite start at the ETU Powerman European Duathlon Champs next month (having finished ninth overall in 2013, despite starting from the Open race), while for Gossage Cambridge was part of a training session putting the finishing touches to her preparations for Ironman South Africa: "22 miles banked to be cashed in South Africa".

Inter Counties Cross Country Championships

Following up his win at the English National XC Champs, Ben Dijkstra (Leicester Coritanian AC) won the Under-15 Boys race by an impressive 15 seconds. We spotted a rapidly improving Hannah Kitchen 28th in the Senior ladies race (having hoped to be 'top-100' before the race).

MK Festival of Running Half Marathon

The ever busy Hywel Davies was continuing his busy racing schedule, having finished third last week at Silverstone. Seventh (1:15:30) was this weeks result after a 'fly and die' effort saw a PB at the 10-mile mark. All part of the plan, his focus is the London Marathon, and that effort will have helped him plan his pacing requirements and final training weeks.

Roding Valley Half Marathon

Sixth place for Matt Molloy (1:18:58) as a last warm up before Saturday's Abu Dhabi Long Course.

Surrey Half Marathon

A swift 1:10:04 from duathlon regular Julian Lings earned him eighth place in this major new event, with former triathlete John Franklin one place further back with a 1:11:07.

Three times a World Championship Duathlon Elite medal winner, now mother of two Annie Emmerson is keeping herself active these days with the Manchester Marathon her target. She took eighth place in the ladies race with 1:25:04.

Trafford 10km

Such is the quality of this race that a speedy 31:00 from Liam Lloyd 'only' earned 17th place, but that was still a big PB time. Liam took a Silver medal last year at the ETU European Junior Champs in Horst last year.

Lydd Half Marathon

At one time one of the top Junior triathletes around, Phil Anthony won the Lydd Half Marathon on Sunday in 1:09:28 - full results HERE. Two years ago Phil ran a very rapid 2:16:40 at the London Marathon.
