It's almost time... ahead Saturday's Ironman World Championships in Kona, several of the top Pro athletes - and a celebrity chef - were present for the Press Conference. Richard Melik was on hand to capture some images for us and get the vibe on who is ready for the big show on Saturday.

Leanda Cave

Like several of the top women contenders, 2013 hasn't gone exactly to plan for the 2012 champion who acknowledges she won't start as favourite this time around. Don't count her out completely - with a CV like this, she knows how to get the job done at major races.

Rachel Joyce

Joyce crushed Ironman Texas in the first half of the season... but has been missing in action on the racing scene since. A fully fit Joyce is a potential champion - but is she over her mid-season issues which lead to a DNS at Challenge Roth?

Mirinda Carfrae

2nd, 1st, 2nd and 3rd in four Kona starts for Carfrae - she's looking to reach #1 again tomorrow.

Caroline Steffen

Winner at Challenge Roth, winner at MetaMan - is Xena ready to take the crown? She is ready and good to go on Saturday.

Andreas Raelert

Andreas Raelert has gone 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd in four attempts at Kona. Can a relaxed Raelert take that final step?

Pete Jacobs

Defending champion PJ was very bullish and saying he was the one to watch, comfortable with the favourites tag.

Craig Alexander

Three time champion 'Crowie' seemed a bit resigned to this being his last Kona and talked about how family was now more important than racing for him, which feels different from previous years

Eneko Llanos

Eneko was quietly confident and dismissed fears that he had been on form for too long this year (winning Melbourne and Frnkfurt), by saying Dave Scott prescribed a lot of rest in the months before Kona.

Gordon Ramsay

Gordon has been "crapping himself" ever since stepping off the plane but is looking forward to getting going...
