Dambuster Duathlon results: Mackenzie, Turvey win British Age Group Champs

Saturday morning's Dambuster Duathlon from Pace Setter Events (www.pacesetterevents.com) at Rutland Water was also host to the first British Triathlon Federation Championship of the year, with the British Age Group Duathlon Champs.

The event - at the tiem of writing - is/was still in progress, but the provisional top results from the event are as follows

2nd Phil Holland (Team Corley Cyles-Blue) 1:54:41 Ruth Brennan-Morrey (Tri Rocherster (USA)) 2:10:14
3rd Daniel Jenkin (Durham University) 1:55:02 Amy Forshaw (Tri London) 2:10:37
4th Richard Anderson (redvenom.co.uk) 1:55:31 Clare Miller 2:15:05
5th Will Newbery (Primera) 1:56:32 Gill Fullen (Bedford Harriers) 2:15:48

Subject to confirmation, Hugh Mackenzie improved by two minutes on his 2012 time to move up from third overall to take first place, just ahead of ITU World Duathlon Bronze and ITU Sprint Triathlon Gold medal winner from last season Phil Holland with Daniel Jenkin in third.

The top two from 2012 were in first and third this year, with Anna Turvey - provisionally - retaining the title and Amy Forshaw in third, separated by US athlete Ruth Brennan-Morrey, an ITU Long Distance Age Group World Champion in 2011.
